Today is a sad day for every Australian. Today John Ilhan aka Crazy John passed away from a heart attack at age 42. John was the founder of Crazy Johns the largest independent mobile phone retailer in Australia which he built up from a single store and became the 126th richest man in Australia with a net worth of over 300 million dollars.
Only yesterday he appeared on a current affairs program here in Australia talking about his life and rags to riches story. Although I only knew Crazy John from his advertising and constant media exposure, John was someone that anyone could look to and admire for his passion, commitment and determination to succeed and also his compassion. John also founded the Food Allergy Foundation with a million dollar donation.
Goodbye John and thank you for the inspiration you have provided to the millions of people who knew you.
