An Easy Way You Can Get Rich!

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Recently I met a guy who happened to be an internet marketer promoting affiliate products from and a range of affiliate opportunities. He had not been doing affiliate marketing for very long and had successfully managed to build a number of sites that put his income at over $6000 per month. Now $6000 per month doesn’t make you rich but it sure does change the playing field and opens up the door to freeing up your time from regular day job to work on your internet marketing full time.

You might be thinking so what, and how does that help me? Well what surprised me the most was this guy’s technical skills. The guy was not a designer or a developer, he didn’t have any skills other than the very basics for building a website, and has the average computer skills of anyone you might meet. He did however have a good understanding on how to drive traffic using search engines using targeted keywords. I thought how could this guy possibly be more successful than me with no technical skills?

Now I think of myself as pretty tech savvy. I know how to write some code, I run my own server, have all the latest software to build websites and programs not to mention the huge bookshelf of technical books however this guy with his average computer skills had made enough money in affiliate marketing to not need a day job. What I realized is that I look at things more from a technical position rather than a marketers position. LESSON ONE: Learn to think like a marketer and leverage your skills to YOUR advantage.

So I asked him what it was that made his affiliate marketing projects so successful. His answer was simple…“WORDS”, it’s all in the words you use and the story you tell about the products you are promoting. He showed me some examples from his websites and it was easy to see that his writing was compelling and the words he used built emotion, made you feel something, projected an image of success for the future. It was the meticulous selection of words that compelled you to take out your credit card and make the purchase so all your problems would be solved.

Take the time and be meticulous with your writing of compelling content using words that build emotion and engage your audience. Build your knowledge of the power of words and you will build a valuable skill on your journey to riches as a super affiliate.

Teaching Sells Free Report at Copyblogger.com

Teaching Sell Free Report by Copyblogger.comA couple of days ago I saw that Brian Clark from Copyblogger has finished his free report about Teaching Sells. Actually when I signed up for the report I didn’t even realise that Brian had written it himself and I only realised after I was half way through it. If your interested in making money online at all then I recommend you get over there and check it out… and no, none of the links in this post are affiliate links.

I could sit here and tell you what it’s all about it, but it’s 3am in the morning here in Sydney and I’m kind of getting a bit on the sleepy side so get over to Brians post about it, sign up and have a read or download the audio. I’d be interested when I’m not so tired to hear what you all think. :-)

Make Money Learning from a Pro

Saturday, October 13th, 2007

Zac Johnson Super AffiliateZac Johnson the Super Affiliate, has published a great post on his blog on how to make money with affiliate marketing.  Zac shows you the complete process, step by step of signing up with an affiliate program, choosing an offer, setting up your ppc campaign and tracking the conversions with a tracking pixel.

Now if you learning about affiliate marketing then Zac’s guide makes it pretty easy and you’ll be up and running in no time. However if you’re a real newbie and are still learning the basics of web then you’ll need to understand how to do it.

Some basic things you’ll need to understand are the basics of PPC marketing on a PPC network like Google Adwords.  The better you understand PPC, the easier it is going to be for you to understand what is working and what isn’t and how profitable your marketing is.  You’ll also need to know how to register a domain and how to either build the landing page or setup the domain referral directly to your affiliate offer.

Now it’s not too often you come across a guide as detailed as Zac Johnsons Super Affilate Guide so get on over there and check it out and give it a go.

Make Money with Social Networking

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

I came across this site today called Yuwie, pronounced UE. At first I was a little skeptical as anyone is with when you hear something like, “Get paid to socialise”. But after a minute I was finding myself being drawn into the idea.

Yuwie works by sharing some of their advertising profits with it’s members. The site is about social networking and has the same kind of thing you would find at myspace, facebook etc where you have a blog, pictures, video, and personalising the look and feel of your profile page.

By this time I was thinking… This looks great, easy, and anyone can do it, even me!

The revenue share is calculated per 1000 page views of your own page. To give an example, someone has a look at your picture, thats a page view, someone checks out a video that’s a page view, you edit your profile, and that’s a page view and then after a short time it all starts adding up.

Then the power of referrals kicks in! When you add your friends and family you get a percentage of their page views up to 10 levels deep so if everyone if your referral network even used it low to moderate levels, you could still earn quite enough money to quit your day job. The great thing about it is that we all love social networking and do it anyway so why not get paid to do it.

By this time I was hooked and thought I have nothing to loose so I signed up.

Signing up is FREE and the minimum payout is $50 which you can get by either paypal or check. Want to learn more, check Yuwie out for yourself.

John Reese & Shoemoney Talk Part 1 of 12

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

I came across this John Reese and Shoemoney talk on Youtube which are really great for anyone who is wanting to learn about how to earn money on the internet. Just listening to these guys can give you insight into how some of the best internet marketers make money. I don’t like to just dish out stuff that’s already on the web but I really think this is great information that you will find useful and will definitely learn something from. So what I’m going to do, is post the 12 parts of the series in 12 days, so you will find a new part each day. If you like it then you can go directly to Youtube and just search Shoemoney and you’ll find more there, otherwise just come back again tomorrow for the next episode.
